Artist's Comments
Timmy is inspired by the likes of Tim Burton and Mark Ryden as well as my experience within the toy industry. There's something compelling about this boy who on the surface looks harmless enough but upon further observation has a dark side beneath. We seem to have caught him in a moment, not knowing if he is painting our portrait or if we've interrupted him painting something else. The use of a limited color palette so that the red paint "pops" adds to the slightly eerie quality of the setting. I guess we can only hope that it's red paint he's using.

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board.
